WW2 Lancaster Bomber Aircrew Flask

This robust flask is believed to have been issued to aircrew during the Second World War, potentially used by those serving on Lancaster bombers. Constructed from metal with a cork stopper, it features a hinged lid and a carrying handle. The exterior is adorned with faded printed directions, suggesting its intended use for hot or cold beverages during long flights. The flask’s utilitarian design and durable construction reflect the demands of wartime service.

Condition and Collectibility

The flask exhibits significant signs of age and wear, consistent with its likely wartime use and subsequent storage. The exterior paint is heavily distressed, with areas of rust and fading. Despite this wear, the flask remains structurally sound, and the lid and stopper are present. This piece would be of interest to collectors of military memorabilia, aviation history enthusiasts, and those interested in the material culture of the Second World War.
